Gun Safe Giveaway

Heart of Longmont is hosting one of the annual Gun Safe Giveaways in our parking lot on Saturday, June 13, at 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. 

Contrary to popular belief, suicide rates peak during the spring rather than the winter. According to Adam Kaplin, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Johns Hopkins, suicide rates in April, May, and June can be two to three times higher than in December. In Colorado, data from Everytown for Gun Safety shows that 70% of gun deaths are suicides. Safe storage of firearms saves lives, and your support can make a difference
