Spiritual Development

What is Spiritual Development?

  • Prayer
  • Study
  • Giving
  • Service to others
  • Sharing our Faith

These are some of the Spiritual Disciplines we exercise to grow and develop spiritually.

We are spiritual creatures.  We want to know that our lives have meaning.  Developing a strong relationship with God helps us find our meaning and purpose.

You will find on this website other ways to grow in your spiritual walk:  educational opportunities for children, youth and adults; sharing your musical talent to enhance our worship experience; opportunities to engage in social justice efforts (Advocates for Change); and ways to develop connections with our community and the world.

The Apostle Paul, writing to the church at Rome very succinctly instructs followers of Christ to develop strong spiritual disciplines:  “Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.  Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.”  —Romans 12: 9-13

Join us on the journey to walk closer to our Lord, to follow him more closely and love him and others more dearly!
