The final night of the scheduled seasonal shelter service was March 15th.
Since opening on November 15th, 350 unique individuals accessed this service for a total of more than 5,000 shelter stays. Sheltering now operates on a severe-weather activated basis through the cold-weather season. A key feature of this new service was to provide ‘first step’ employment to people experiencing homelessness. We are pleased to share news that three overnight staff are moving into supportive housing as a direct result of their employment with HOPE!
HOPE is deeply grateful to their partners: the Journey, Heart of Longmont and Central Longmont Churches for opening their doors to make this essential service possible. Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers and donors for their tremendous support of our work, and to our dedicated staff for steadfast supervision and compassionate oversight.
Donation Opportunities: Urgent items needed are new or gently used sleeping bags and men’s size 30-32 jeans. Thank you!
