Sometimes things just don’t work out because of unforeseen circumstances.
According to Jan Timmons and Marty Allison, both active UMCOR volunteers, the mission trip to Salt Lake City that was slated for later this month is being rescheduled after some volunteers had to drop out of the trip due to family emergencies.
UMCOR does remain, however, the January Compassion Offerings recipient. The donations will support the humanitarian efforts of mission trips that provide hope and healing to struggling communities.
The focuses of UMCOR’S work are humanitarian relief, disaster response, sustainable development, and global health. The United Methodist Church volunteers play a vital role in accomplishing these efforts, both nationally and globally.
Another trip will be planned and announced at a later date. If you would like to volunteer in this noble cause, or want more information, contact Jan Timmons, 303-776-8644, or Marty Allison, 303-772-7816, for details.
