As many of you have heard, the United Methodist General Conference 2019 delegates passed The Traditional Plan 438 to 384. If you would like to read more information about the Conference, click here.
From Pastor David:
The Special General Conference is wrapping up and the One Church Plan was NOT adopted. The Traditionalist Plan seems to have garnered the most votes, though there are still some pieces of the legislation that needs to be worked on in order that the plan is in line with the United Methodist Constitution. This is upsetting for many of us. The Heart of Longmont has made a stand that we are open and accepting of all. We will continue to be OPEN and LOVING. We wait to see how all of the pieces of what has happened in St. Louis will come together once the dust settles. But know this people of God. We will continue to be the church. We will continue to extend love to all. We will choose to be a place where all are welcome. Keep Faith my friends.
